New Year at Mt. Rainier

Going to Mt. Rainier is never a wasted trip. It doesn't matter what time of the year you go, it's always different. I think that's why I find it to be so spectacular and a "must see" attraction for any out-of-towner. Which is why when I heard Neil would be in town, I immediately thought of Rainier as the perfect place for me to show him. Neil came to Seattle with a set itinerary and great company. Joining him on this adventure was Ilitch, Rob, Tara, and Nick. All of them have great personalities which made it really easy for us to all instantly become friends. They are also extremely talented so you should definitely give them a look! We set out pretty early to the mountain, not knowing what to expect since Rainier is basically it's own ecosystem.

On the way to the park we stopped at a couple of different spots that I always enjoy when I head into Ashford. We were greeted with snowfall as soon as we arrived which doesn't happen very often, believe it or not, and I was ecstatic! I instantly knew this trip was going to be a success regardless of the mountain not being visible. That only means this crew will have to be back for a second trip to really get to experience what it's like to be face to face with the largest volcano and 5th highest peak in the USA.

I hope you enjoy some of the pictures I took on this trip and also my first ever post! Cheers to the new year and many more stories to come.
